Tempe, AZ -- Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that three of its executives in the Americas were recognized by Everything Channel's CRN. The magazine selected Cheryl Neal, vice president, vendor management, Technology Infrastructure Solutions group; and Nicole Enright, vice president, strategic enablement services, for its "Power 100 Women of the Channel" list. Additionally, Gale Brown, vice president of services for Avnet's IBM Solutions Group, was honored as one of the leading female executives in the channel. These "Who's Who" lists recognize female executives for their accomplishments over the past year based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield within the technology channel.

With more than 25 years of channel experience, Neal and her team developed and implemented enablement and demand generation campaigns customized to suppliers' key initiatives. Their focus on providing partners with the technical education programs resulted in more than 400 reseller partner representatives attaining certification to sell supplier solutions. The programs also helped partners capture opportunities in the high-growth data center technology markets of storage, networking and security solutions. This is the second consecutive year that Neal has been named to this list and her first time among the elite Power 100.

Nicole Enright

During the past year, Enright and her team led the evaluation and integration process as Avnet expanded into Latin America with its acquisitions of Bell Microproducts and Tallard Technologies. They helped onboard more than 600 new employees, who now represent Avnet in approximately 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, Enright and her team manage Avnet's executive councils for top suppliers, which shape both Avnet and supplier programs. She also helped develop a strategic consultative program to accelerate partners' data center solutions businesses. This is the first time that Enright has been named to the Power 100 list.

Gale Brown

Since joining Avnet in 2010, Brown focused on expanding IBM business partners' opportunities in the lucrative services market. Brown and her team leveraged Avnet's SolutionsPath® Services to enhance business partners' capabilities to deliver high-margin professional and managed services in vertical markets. Additionally, they provided business partners with specific sales and technical skills training to enable them to capitalize on opportunities related to IBM maintenance services, after-market services and emerging service offerings such as cloud computing solutions. Brown was recognized on the Power 100 list previously when she served as vice president of business partner sales, general business at IBM.
